Is street fighting and owning fight clubs considered a sin for someone who is christian?

i am a good guy, i go to church and believe in god, i get 3.5 g.p.a. dont get in trouble much, planning on going to the army or airforce, and graduatiing, but i love to fist fight!! me and my buddy own a cage in his backyard and use small boxing gloves and invite people to fight me and make matchups for money, sometimes i go bareknuckle streetfight. I cant see myself as a ufc, boxing, mma or anything like that, i am a STREETFIGHTER. I dont fight becuz i dont like somebody, i fight for the fight and respect, i consider it as a street sport kinda of like street basketball. so is it a sin?

I'm not a religious person, so I can't exactly help you out in that department, and I'm not your mother, but I just wanted to say: I am glad you are doing so well in school and you are a good guy, but at the same time, you are encouraging violence and I never think this is a good thing to do. With so much violence going on in the world and so many kids killing eachother through fighting,etc. I always feel that it is not a good idea to encourage this type of activity. Sin or no sin, think of it this way, would you be proud or even able to tell your priest/minister that you are involved in this violent behavior? Use your best judgement and I wish you good luck and a high pain tolerance. And I will "pray" for minimal stitches and bruises you may inflict on others/ get for yourself. And may you someday soon learn that people will respect you much more for your brains than your brawn.

Problem is you are promoting violence,


the same thing went on in Rome.


The people loved it, the Gladiators over all had a better life than they would have. But many were hurt due to it.


Street Fighters most the time do so without choice. It is a personality.

Reply:I think if you keep it as a sport without bets on the fights it is just exercise.Sure is a frustration relief.I fought in Karate tournaments and some of them got pretty messy so I hope that I haven't disgraced my faith.

Reply:It is only a sin when you know what you are doing is wrong. And since you are a christian, and you conciounce is telling you its wrong, then yes it is a sin.

Reply:Lets define a SIN. Something GOD is not going to like. If Jesus wouldn't do it then DON"T. Some believe drinking Wine is a Sin but Jesus made it. So now it comes down too whats in Your Heart. And next time You punch someone pretend it's JESUS and see how you feel about it.
