Is it illegal to film a street fight?

Nope. If you staged it for money or prizes or instigated it it's a different story. There might be some local bylaw against it but doubtful.

Is it illegal to film a street fight?
no because it is out in the open
Reply:No really...unless the "fighters" r under age n if some1 gets beat really hard....then u'll accountable as accessory 2 instigate a fight.
Reply:In most jurisdictions, if it's in the public domain, it's ok to film. There may be some issues of privacy protection/surveillance depending on your local laws. Broadcasting the film, however, may be a different matter.
Reply:It should be. You are encouraging the fighting, which is wrong and illegal.
Reply:It may be considered illegal if you have evidence on tape of a crime and do not turn it over to the authorities to assist in apprehending the criminals. However, the act of filming would not seem to be an illegal act in and of itself.
