Who would win a street fight?

a professional middle weight boxer whose 5'11 and 165 or a brazilian jiu jitsu purple belt whose 5'8 170 there both 25 years old

Who would win a street fight?
If the boxer knows how to sprawl, the boxer can win, via humilliating knockout.

If the bjj purple belt gets a takedown, it's all over for the boxer, unless he knows Mike Tyson's "biting technique"
Reply:bjj as soon as it went to the ground and it would go to the ground bjj would win
Reply:jiu jitsu on a 1 on 1 ground fighting would be my choice
Reply:bjj because they are way more conditioned
Reply:the brazilian jui jitsu guy may have an edge but who ever lands a good punch and placed in the right place could mean

"lites out" for either side...
Reply:BJJ guy. Definitely, I think BJJ fighters can close the gap, change levels and take the boxer down even before the boxer can land a punch. At purple belt, the BJJ fighter would definitely beat the boxer. Hands down BJJ would win.
Reply:Chuck Norris intelligently studied Judo under Gene LeBell understanding the limitations of a stand up only game.
Reply:First of all it takes just one punch for a fight to win so it just comes down to if the fight stays standing up guess who wins the boxer but if it goes to the ground BJJ guy.
Reply:anything can happen in a street fight so who knows.

anyone that gives you a definitive answer has never never been in a street fight or are just picking who they think(key word think) would win.
Reply:That's kind of hard to say because if hes a great boxer than one punch could knock him out but if he's not than he can be taken down and get submitted who really knows every fight is different with each individual fighter depending on how well rounded they are and how skillful they really are
Reply:BJJ definately..!!
Reply:This is a street fight? Gimme the boxer all day. The boxer will just keep swinging and eventually hurt this guy. In a street fight you can hit anywhere on the head right? OK. So this boxer can just bomb on this guys head over and over? I've seen plenty of guys get ko'd or quit from multiple head shots. Now how many times have you seen someone tap out in a street fight? Exactly.
Reply:ahh i wasnt going to answer this ?, but the previous guy said "tap out in a street fight"... that's right there is no tapping out... your arm or leg (elbow or knee) get f'n broken.... that's why they tap idiot... getting choked out is way more humane in a street fight... anyway the boxer has a chance.... forget the jabs.... only the punch that counts will save you.... good luck
Reply:the boxer considering hes pro and has longer reach. Strikers can have a lot of success just by trying to get a few lucky punches in on the ground.
Reply:In a street fight, who knows? That's why they have all of these matches and you pay to go see them, so you can see who wins. :)
Reply:Actually whoever strikes first usually wins in a street fight. At least that has been my experience. If the Juitsu guy nows how to fight I would favor him.The boxer has the advantage while on their feet.
Reply:Kimbo would rock them both at the same time.
