Any1, been in a real fight - punched their opponents head - did you break your hand?

Several times, though not very often compared to how mnay fights I had. More often fingers than hand bones,generally drunk and hitting anything I could see, which when they usually bent over to protect themselves was the top or side of their head.





I found fingers usually heal by themselves.For handbones there's more chance you will need them x rayed or re-aligned surgically.





Another hazard is cutting your knuckles on teeth since human teeth are even worse than dogbite for infection.


...If its a deep enough laceration you are looking at a couple of nights in hosptial on a drip getting antibiotics.very boring.

lol my friend broke his hand punching some guy in the face the guy got an instant black eye
Reply:Never broke my hand, but did break a knuckle though.

Reply:Unfortunately yes I've been in dozens of street fights in the past 40 years. But I've been through decades of knuckle conditioning and I usually go for a shot to the head against my assaillant. But I could easily fracture a skull if I put too much into it.
Reply:No, but one time i punched a guy in the teeth, i was young and didnt know how dirty human teeth were, I didnt clean it after I got home and didnt see a doctor until my hand was swallen like an apple





Spent three days in hospital being pumped with antibiotics, moral, dont get into fights but if you do clean your hand if you have any cuts with antibacterial

Reply:yes. the guy came in with his head down and I through a right cross, dumb idea compared to the upper cut I should have thrown. my pinkie knuckle hit above his temple and it broke my metacarpal half an inch below the joint. this was a fight I had in high school after we hit each other a few times the other kids broke it up. I had to be in a cast for 8 weeks because I didn't go to the doctor right away
