What are some good fighting techniques?

Yesterday I had gotten into a fight and It didn't end until 7 minutes into the fight were he wanted to stop, what are some good techniques to end a street fight quick, like one hit to the jaw will leave them on the ground or something really effective in self defense.

What are some good fighting techniques?
Most street fighters swing wildly, which doesn't work against a trained fighter. Learn basic boxing skills because a boxer will KO a brawler almost every time.
Reply:either a one hitter quiter like you just said or 2 to the body then 1 to head that'll definitely leave him dazed then you can finish off by putting him in a head lock or something and make him beg for mercy. good luck and leave before cops show
Reply:kosho shori: true meaning of self defense. blocking anything they can throw and deliver disabling blows to incoming appendages disassembles opponent on the spot.
Reply:Like you can learn how to fight without a instructor. Your best bet is to go wild and throw bunches of haymaker and windmill punches.
Reply:As Bas Rutten said in one of his fighting videos.

"never underestimated a good kick to the groin"

The places that I used to go for:

1) Bridge of his nose. You break his nose, he'll lose vision for a little bit.

2) Right in the middle of his chest where there is nothing but bone there. You'll knock the wind outta him.
Reply:They call the chin "the button" for a reason...watch a slow motion knockout from chuck liddell, and you notice he hits them on the chin, then they fall over and sleep.
Reply:If you punch him in the nose or the throat, he cant breath. If the poke him in the eye's, he cant see. If you kick or punch him in the growing, he may not be able to stand up straight. I you hook punch him to the temple, you may knock him out.

I wouldn't punch someone in the jaw, that may break your hand.

Under someones eye's, that is the weakest bone on someones face. That can easily be broken with a punch.

With all that said, their are plenty of technique's, you just have to know when and where to use them.
Reply:learn some martial arts.
Reply:Well if you go looking for fights you will end up in prison one day. So try not to fight unless you are defending yourself.

Judo throws are good. Karo Parsyian puts out a good DVD series. If you throw someone in a street fight you have a good chance of disabling them.
Reply:7 minutes for a street fight is pretty dam long. if you can wrestle him down to the floor and end it there, it should only take 10-20 seconds, which beats playing "footsy" for 7 minutes.
Reply:kick him nuts
