Get yourself a heavy bag and start training with it, trust me it's a great trainer for upper body strength! Here's a site for a good read. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drobson1...

Good luck!
Reply:Go to the boxing gym, get a guy to punch you in the body for 5 mins then break 1 min then 5 mins then break 1 min etc.

Also start hitting the weights, and work on some neck strengthening exercises.

All the best!
Reply:if you want to increase your upper body strength then you should do pull ups.
Reply:There are lots of exercises you should do to train for boxing.... running, jump rope, push-ups, sit-ups, squat thrusts, kettlebell swings, weightless squats, bench press. Go to crossfit dot com for more ideas.

Also practicing punching will give you strength. Hit a heavy bag with large gloves about 16 or even 18 ounces. Do each of these for 1 min then rest for a min. work your way up to doing 3 min then rest for a min. It's good to practice in rounds just like how you would fight. This here is a great order...

1. left jab

2.right jab

3.left cross

4.right cross

5.left jab right cross

6.right jab left cross

7.left jab. right cross, left jab

8.right jab, left cross, right jab

9. left hook

10.right hook

11.left jab, left hook

10.right jab, right hook

11.left, jab, right cross, left jab, right hook

12. right jab, left cross, right jab, left hook

and there are countless more combinations as large as the imagination is that you can practice

btw street fighting is not a sport it is a way to end up in jail. my advice is to stick to the gym. you will never learn to be great by fighting in the street.
Reply:Weights. Keep muscle memory in mind though, so lift with explosive movements so you do not lose the quickness you need to punch. There are some training methods like swinging a sledgehammer and picking up tires, push ups on your fist and in different positions, and stuff like that may be you could get off the internet. Some guys don't suggest weights but if you already have fast hands, the benefits of weights outweighs the negative impact because your hands get heavier and it's easier to sit down on your punches. Plus if you in a street fight then you might not always be boxing so it helps to be strong enough to dip somebody.
